How to Service and Repair the Steering Shaft on Ford Excursion?

In order to service the steering column shaft, it is important to keep the shaft stationary whilst detaching the intermediate shaft to avoid Clock Spring injuries. To remove the intermediate shaft remove the bolt to the steering gear, remove the dust shield and slide off the lower pinch bolt. Refreeze by replaying these steps.
