How to service the rear wiper arm on Ford Excursion?

The service procedure for the rear wiper arm starts with lifting the rear wiper pivot arm cover while keeping the vehicle paint protected from harm. The wiper service requires you to start by taking off the nut and detaching the rear wiper pivot arm while you disconnect the rear window washer hose. First enable the rear window wiper motor to park by selecting RUN mode with the key and activating the INT 1 position of the rear window wiper switch until the motor completes at least one rotation and finally shutting off the switch. To install the rear wiper pivot arm you must connect the rear window washer hose before positioning the wiper blade parallel to the rear window bottom and secure it with the retaining nut. Before finalizing the installation run the rear wiper at least once to test the correct parking position of the pivot arm. The removal and installation process should be repeated until the pivot arm achieves the correct parking position.
