How to synchronize the exterior Mirror Actuator motors on Ford Expedition?

A synchronization step should be performed whenever someone manually operates power folding mirrors or positions the mirror case by hand without using the switch. A continuous operation of the power folding mirrors for 6 to 10 cycles activates power lockout for 2 minutes to protect the power fold motors before the system restores normal functionality. Put the mirror control switch into its midpoint position as the first step. Synchronization may require powershifting the mirrors in and out four times from their stored position. To operate the power folding mirrors automatically through four cycles users should push the mirror control switch to the rear position. Listening to a popping sound indicates that power folding mirror motors have successfully synchronized.
