Ford Explorer Sport Bumper Cover Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the front bumper cover on Ford Explorer Sport?
    A:
Service and repair of front bumper cover begins with removing the radiator grille sight shield by unbolt its screws then freeing the retaining clips. Service the parking lamp assemblies by taking off electrical connectors while unscrewing the two bolts that exist on each side. Removing the front headlamp assemblies begins with pulling at the upward direction until all four tabs release while disconnecting their electrical connectors. The first step requires the removal of lower radiator Air Deflector bolts then fender splash shield screws are removed one at a time from each side with three bolts total. To extract the front bumper cover you must remove two fender-opening bolts situated on each side along with six locking tabs and unclip them before extraction. Run the opposite steps to reinstall the components.
