Service and repair job on the transmission mount needs to start by supporting the vehicle in air while lifting it up. Identification of the rear driveshaft yoke and axle flange on the 4x2 model will allow original driveshaft balance maintenance before the removal of bolts from the driveshaft. Start by removing transmission mount nuts and then elevate the transmission to extract the mount by loosening its screws. The new transmission mount should be placed on the extension housing before securing it to the transmission mount-to-extension housing screws. Place the transmission mount into the crossmember after which tighten all the nuts. Check the alignment of the driveshaft with the previously marked positions for balance control before reattaching the driveshaft with bolts. Finally, lower the vehicle.
