How to Service the Mass Air Flow Sensor on Ford Explorer Sport Trac?

The first step to serve the Mass Air Flow sensor involves loosening the air cleaner outlet tube clamp followed by setting the tube to the side. The electrical connector should be removed from the MAF sensor during the service process. Service of the MAF sensor requires that you install the electronics module and body as one unit without adjusting the sensing elements found in the MAF air flow bypass. The MAF sensor can be installed by reversing the bolt-removal steps used for the current sensor.
