  A: The turn signal switch service requires disconnecting the ground cable from the battery. Begin by putting the ignition key into the switch and positioning it in the RUN setting followed by using a punch tool to push the tab button which enables you to extract the cylinder. The first step requires turning the tilt wheel handle and shank counterclockwise in case they exist. Start the next step by uninstalling upper and lower steering column shrouds after extracting their holding screws. The multifunction switch gets removed through a sequence of steps which begins with unscrewing it followed by disconnecting electrical connectors before fully extracting the switch.
