How to Remove and Service an Accelerator Cable on Ford F-150?

Service and repair of the accelerator pedal cable begins by unconnecting the cable from both the pedal and shaft. The first step involves removing the accelerator control splash shield by unfastening its three bolts before removing it from the system. First separate the accelerator cable from its retaining clip before using your fingers to push the lock tabs inside the passenger compartment nearby. This action will allow you to push the cable through into the engine compartment. Use the throttle lever to rotate forward in order to detach the accelerator cable from the throttle body cam. End the process by taking out the accelerator cable after extracting its bracket-mounted snap-in-end fitting. Perform the installation procedure exactly in reverse order to the removal process.
