In order to fix the fuel level sensor, remove the fuell pump and record the route of the wires. Unplug the sensor, remove it and place in the new one, making sure the wires are positioned correctly. Apply heat to the heat shrink tube using a heat gun, wrap the wire and reassemble the module and tank.

How to service the fuel level sensor on Ford F-150?

In order to maintain the fuel level sensor, dismantle the Fuel Pump (FP) module, ensuring that safety measures are taken because of inflammable mixtures. Disassembly of the sensor is done by disconnecting the electrical connector of the sensor, popping out the retainer clip, and sliding off the sensor. To install it, follow the steps of removal in reverse.
