How to service and repair the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Valve on Ford F-150?

Do not electrocute oneself; disconnect the battery ground cable when sparks and fire are visible; no smoking and no open flames. Disconnect the electrical connector of the EVAP canister purge valve and disconnect the two quick-connect couplings of the fuels vapor tube. Pull out the bracket tab and take off the valve. Uninstall Revert the process.

How to Service and Repair the Canister Purge Valve on Ford F-150?

In order to fix the canister purge valve, unscrew the battery ground cable followed by the electrical connector and the vacuum control hose. Take out the vapor tubes of fuel and the valve. To install again, in reverse order, test leak, and do another verification drive cycle to verify functioning.
