Ford F-150 Heritage Brake Booster Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the vacuum brake booster on Ford F-150 Heritage?
A: The vacuum brake booster service starts with removing the Brake Master Cylinder followed by disconnecting the power brake booster hose through clamp compression. After disconnecting the power brake booster hose for a second time you must remove the stoplight switch self-locking pin before pulling the stoplight switch along with the booster push rod from the brake pedal pin. You should first remove the bulkhead sound insulator followed by the power brake booster nuts to take out the booster unit. The installation process will follow the opposite steps of removal.
