Ford F-150 Heritage Brake Pedal Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the brake pedal assembly for a fixed manual transmission on Ford F-150 Heritage?
    A:
The brake pedal assembly service for fixed manual transmission begins with disconnecting the push rod of the Clutch Master Cylinder and Clutch Pedal Position switch (CPP). The next step includes rotating the clutch master cylinder 45 degrees clockwise until removal. You need to first remove the stoplight switch self-locking pin before you can slide the stoplight switch together with the booster push rod off the brake pedal pin. The installation process begins by extracting the bulkhead sound insulator then the two brake pedal bracket bolts and then subsequent removal of the brake pedal bracket nuts. Install the bulkhead sound insulator without placing it between the brake pedal and bracket and the bulkhead before following the reverse removal steps to finish up the installation process.
