How to Service the Crankshaft Position Sensor on Ford F-150 Heritage?

Service of the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor starts with disconnecting the battery ground cable. You must disconnect the accessory drive belt from the A/C compressor pulley before handling the support procedure of the vehicle. The service on the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor requires disconnecting both the A/C compressor field coil electronic connector along with the CKP sensor electronic connector. Ordinary access to service the CKP sensor requires loosening only the A/C compressor bolts until the compressor slides down one inch. Uninstall the bolt from the CKP sensor before extracting the sensor assembly. The procedure for installation involves doing the removal steps in reverse order.
