Begin oil cooler service and repair by lifting the vehicle then supporting it before draining engine oil with the drain plug followed by draining engine coolant. The procedure for servicing the oil cooler requires installation of all O-ring seals first then removal of the oil bypass filter and finally the oil cooler insert and oil cooler itself. The installation process should start with the oil cooler insert followed by the oil bypass filter installation. Place the drain plug back and carefully lower down the vehicle. End the procedure by adding Super Premium SAE 5W-30 Motor Oil XO-5W30-QSP that satisfies Ford specification WSS-M2C153-G or its equivalent and top off the engine coolant reservoir.
