How to Service and Repair the Power Steering Cooler on Ford F-150?

In order to service the power steering cooler, jack the vehicle in neutral. Disconnect the low-pressure and return lines, and pop-out the two bolts that hold the cooler. Install the new cooler, tighten bolts to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs. ) and reverse. Lastly, fill the power steering.

In order to maintain the power steering cooler, hoist the vehicle and take off the skid plate and lower radiator air deflector. Unscrew the hoses, unscrew the cooler and remove it. To install, reverse the process and make sure that you fill and leak test the system afterward.
