The first step for servicing or repairing the hood latch requires making a marking of its position. The service begins with disconnecting the secondary release cable then disconnecting the cable conduit followed by separation of the cable itself. The installation requires tightening both hood latch bolts to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft) torque specification. You must turn the hood latch 180 degrees before separating its primary release cable B along with its cable conduit and cable. You should reinstall the hood latch through the opposite sequence of steps used for its removal.
