Before starting service or repair on the hood latch it needs to be marked for position. The first step involves cutting out the hood latch bolts after which you detach the hood latch release cable from its anchorage point. The service requires the disconnection of both the cable conduit and cable itself. Reinstallation of the hood latch requires returning to the steps used for removal.
