  The seat heater switch service requires starting by removing the front seat and manual lumbar handle via the handle slot then prying the tabs at 90 degrees and handling the removal of the handle. First remove the clip and slide off the recliner handle cover before unlocking the clips to forward-slide and detach the cushion side shield insert. Start the seat control switch removal procedure by removing the switch knob followed by releasing the cushion side shield clips to split the switch before disconnecting and extracting the seat control switch. The front seat installation process requires performing the steps in reverse order to the removal steps. The driver seat's SRS can be verified through igniter switch ON while checking for a steady air bag warning indicator that will last about 6 seconds before the switch goes OFF. The SRS system has a fault when the warning indicator fails to illuminate during startup or stays illuminated continuously or starts turning on after 30 seconds of ignition ON. The system generates a chime through five sequential sets of five beeps whenever an air bag warning indicator with an SRS fault remains unresponsive which requires repairs for both the warning indicator and SRS faults. All continuous faults stored in the RCM must be cleared through a diagnostic device.
