To maintain the auxiliary evaporator core, take out the climate control housing and disconnect the TXV fitting and get rid of the gasket seals. Fasten the fitting to 15 Nm (133 lb-in). Unscrew the evaporator core cover screws and screw them in again by following the same procedure and with new gasket seals.

The evaporator core is only available as part of the evaporator core housing. To service it, disassemble it by taking out the heater core and housing, and moving the parts of the former to the corresponding parts of the new housing. Lastly, install the heater and evaporator core housing back into the car.
