How to service the brake light switch on Ford Focus?

In order to service the brake light switch, unscrew the stoplamp switch counterclockwise and then unscrew it and then disconnect the electrical connector. Installation To install, this requires the complete removal of the plunger, maintaining the brake pedal in the on position during installation, then slowly release the pedal, and reconnect the electrical connector to the stoplamp switch.
