Start by removing pan securing bolts then break the bead of sealer with a proper tool. Proceed to remove silicone residue from both transmission fluid pan and transaxle case by using a metal surface cleaner. The installation of the pan requires you to apply a 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) thick sealer bead without exceeding the recommended amount for maintaining transaxle interior safety. The installation process requires torques the transaxle fluid pan bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). To complete the procedure you should lower the vehicle and use clean automatic transmission fluid for filling the transaxle.
