  A: As the first step position the vehicle on a hoist set to NEUTRAL mode. The transmission fluid pan contains preinstalled fluid which makes draining impossible before taking it out. Start by removing the pan bolts then apply the suitable tool to break the rubber seal. It is essential to apply metal surface prep before cleaning all silicone residue from the transmission fluid pan and transaxle case surface. After the installation of the pan users must apply a sealer bead which needs to be 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) thick but should never reach beyond this quantity since excessive sealer might damage the internal transaxle components. Fix the transmission fluid pan bolts at 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.), afterwards drop the vehicle and feed it with clean transmission fluid.
