The transaxle needs complete removal as the first step for
Clutch Disc and pressure plate servicing. Unfasten clutch pressure plate-to-
Flywheel bolts with 2 gradually increasing turns before removing all components including bolts along with the clutch plate and pressure plate. Discard these bolts during the process. The clutch pressure plate requires cleaning with an alcohol-based commercial solvent before installation to remove oil film residues while petroleum-based cleaners should be avoided and clutch pressure plate immersion in solvent must be prevented. Position the clutch disc within the clutch pressure plate before centralizing it with a suitable clutch aligner. Set the clutch disc and clutch pressure plate onto the flywheel before installing 6 new clutch pressure plate-to-flywheel bolts aligned in a star pattern which should be torqued to 29 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). Reinstall the transaxle as soon as you detach the clutch aligner.
