The accessory drive belt tensioner requires a counterclockwise rotation while securing it with a spring clip to put the accessory drive belt aside. Detach both the wiring harness locator from the generator then disconnect the electrical generator connection. Before taking off the generator B+ cable nut the operator must set aside its boot then apply 8 Nm (71 lb-in) of torque to the cable nut upon reinstallation. To install the generator securely replace the three bolts with care because they need to be fastened to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft) torque. Perform the installation by first reversing all steps in the reverse order.
