First disconnect the battery then store the accessory Drive Belt in position by counterclockwise turning the tensioner while pushing its spring clip toward the tensioner. Services on the generator start with releasing the wiring harness locator followed by generator electrical connector removal. Separate the generator B+ cable boot and use a proper tool to remove the B+ cable nut before reinstallation where correct torque setting should be 8 Nm (71 lb-in). The generator requires removal of its three securing bolts before installation when bolts need to be fastened to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft) torque. To finish the installation reverse all steps of removal.
