How to service and repair the cruise control servo on Ford Freestar?

Removal of air cleaner assembly and parts should be done sequentially in order to service the cruise control servo. To remove the speed control cable, turn the cap anticlockwise. In re-installation, the process is reversed, with the cable core correctly returned round the actuator pulley, and the cap firmly locked into place.
