How to service and repair the sunroof Air Deflector on Ford Freestyle?

The serviceability of sunroof or moonroof windguard requires that roof opening panel glass sit in FULL OPEN position before proceeding. At the top of the vehicle a flat-blade screwdriver should depress spring steel locating tabs on both sides by allowing the deflector to move toward the vehicle's rear. The air deflector must be tilted upward before pulling it forward to remove it. Follow the removal procedure in reverse when installing as well, making sure the locating tabs reach their locked position.
