How to Service the Brake Light Switch on Ford Freestyle?

To maintain the stoplamp switch, disconnect the electrical connector and push the brake pedal lightly until the switch is removed by turning the switch 45 degrees clockwise. Install it without touching the brake pedal, rotate it counterclockwise and then re-connect the connector. Check the stoplamps by pressing the brake and continuing to press the brake when the engine is on.
