Start the power mirror motor service by detaching the exterior rear view mirror glass. The four exterior rear view mirror motor screws need gentle loosening before being left on the motor assembly. Keep the exterior rear view mirror motor screws at 1 Nm (9 lb.in.) tension when reinstalling the part. The first step includes disconnecting the electrical connector from the exterior rear view mirror motor before removing the motor itself. The service requires executing the reverse sequence of steps applied during dismantling.
