It is necessary to leave the differential vent on the rear cover open without any hindrances. The installation of differential housing cover must happen within 15 minutes after applying clear silicone rubber along the mating surfaces or the technician must start over with new sealant. Secure the installed cover by using 10 bolts and tighten them to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft). The rear axle requires 1.15L (2.43 pt) of rear axle lubricant which should reach 3-5 mm (0.118-0.196 in) below the bottom of the filler hole before reinstallation with a torque of 29 Nm (21 lb-ft).
