How to service the rear door window regulator and motor on Ford Fusion?

A proper service of the rear door window regulator and motor needs you to detach both the rear door trim panel and the access hole plugs. Service of the rear door window regulator requires removing the motor if it fails to operate properly. The window should be lowered to expose glass clamp bolts through the access hole plugs before loosening these bolts but retightening them to 6 Nm (53 lb-in) for reinstallation. Tape the window in its place before lowering the window regulator until it touches the stops at the bottom of the regulator tracks. Begin by taking out the door speaker together with the interior door handle screw before placing the handle in a safe location. Remove the wiring harness retainers before taking away the wiring harness cover plate to detach the two door latch cable retainers. You should tighten the door module bolts to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft) when reattaching them during the process. The door latch electrical connector must be disconnected prior to removing the rear door module assembly together with necessary transfers for new module installation.
