How to service the coolant reservoir safely and effectively on Ford Mustang?

The first step to service the coolant reservoir requires that the engine cools down entirely before opening the cooling system because high pressure can launch steam which causes dangerous injuries. Start by opening the cooling system slowly through counter-clockwise rotation of the pressure relief cap by one half turn before removing the cap. Hose clamp pliers enable clamping the lower degas bottle hose for siphoning coolant using a suitable suction device. The technicians should separate both degas bottle hoses and move them away from the work area. Unbolt and uninstall the degas bottle by removing its two securing bolts. Follow the opposite order of removal to install the degas bottle by securing its bolts at 8 Nm (71 lb-in). Exactly fill the degas bottle with recommended coolant mixture to the specified volume mark.
