How to Properly Service and Repair a Cruise Control Switch on Ford Mustang?

The cruise control switch can be serviced by holding the brake pedal down during removal and installation. To rotate the switch plunger, compress the switch plunger and remove with the plunger in the switch. Lift the connector, turn the switch counterclockwise to strip and leave the part, and have the new switch self-adjust itself during installation.
