How to service and repair the throttle body on Ford Ranger?

The service and repair process for the throttle body starts with removing the accelerator control snow shield. First disconnect the wiring harness together with the engine vent tube from the air cleaner outlet tube. The engine air cleaner intake tube and duct require clamp loosening to detach from the system followed by disconnecting the accelerator cable and speed control cable if installed. After disconnecting the TP sensor electrical connector you should remove the bolts that hold the throttle body in place. The installation requires reversing the previous removal steps with proper sequence tightening of throttle body bolts reaching 10 Nm torque (89 Lb-In).
