  A: First step when servicing the fuel injector and Fuel Rail includes implementation of safety measures due to its highly flammable mixture composition. Start with easing fuel system pressure to stop unplanned fuel ejecting. Begin the procedure by disconnecting the battery ground cable and continue with removing the upper intake manifold. Sanitize the process by removing the fuel rail routing clips before breaking the fuel tube-to-fuel rail spring lock coupling. The procedure starts with removing the fuel injector electrical connectors followed by unfastening the four fuel rail bolts. The technician should extract the fuel rail and injectors together as one piece before discarding the twelve fuel injector O-ring seals. New special fuel-resistant O-ring seals must be utilized for installation and must be kept separate from each other because they should not be reused or switched between the upper and lower mounting positions. The new O-rings should get cleaned engine oil before installing the six fuel injectors and their clips inside the fuel rail. Put in place the fuel rail alongside the injectors as one piece which must be fixed with bolts at 10 Nm (89 lb-in). The installation process requires attachment of the six fuel injector electrical connectors followed by connection of the fuel tube-to-fuel rail spring lock coupling while routing fuel tube clips on the fuel rail.
