How to Service and Repair the Accelerator Cable on Ford Thunderbird?

To fix the accelerator pedal, unscrew the throttle body and throttle body retaining clip off the accelerator cable, and take off the hush panel. Removal of accelerator cable should be done without damage. To install, work through the steps in reverse and check the cable, replace the cable in case locking tabs are broken. The assembly can be in two parts.
