How to service and repair the throttle cable and linkage on Ford Thunderbird?

To service throttle cable, pull off accelerator cable form throttle body lever and retaining clip, and remove hush panel. Then the accelerator cable must be removed without being damaged. To install, follow the steps in reverse and check the locking tabs on the cable; replace tabs that break. The assembly can be two-piece.
