How to Service and Repair the Sliding Door Latch Assembly on Ford Windstar?

A service and repair procedure for the sliding door latch starts with taking off the sliding door trim panel. First disconnect the interior sliding door handle cable after unclipping the conduit and cable from the remote sliding door latch and securing screws. First disconnect the exterior sliding door handle actuating rod by opening the clip followed by removal of all screws including the sliding door latch remote control.
