Lincoln Aviator Fan Shroud Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the cooling fan shroud on Lincoln Aviator?
A: Service procedures for the cooling fan shroud should begin with the vehicle in NEUTRAL position on a hoist. Empty the cooling system and disconnect the pipe connecting the degas bottle to the Radiator from above. The degas bottle bolt must be removed by first tightening it to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) before reinstalling it. The service requires disconnecting the lower hose at the radiator attachment point on the degas bottle before extracting both the bottle and hose. Follow this step with the removal of cooling fan shroud bolts before reinstalling them with a torque of 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.). First detach the upper radiator hose from the radiator and afterward remove the cooling fan shroud. The procedure ends by following the removal sequence backward while performing cooling system filling and bleeding.
