How to service and repair the thermostat on Lincoln Aviator?

To service the thermostat, jack the car up in neutral and bleed the cooling system. Disassemble the drip shield oil filter bolts (tighten to 7 Nm) and coolant inlet connector bolts (tighten to 10 Nm). Check and change O-ring as necessary, re-install thermostat and refill cooling system.
