The next step consists of unfastening the steering line clamp plate nut which requires tightening to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) when reinstalling it. The essential requirement for power steering line maintenance is new O-rings so rotate the clamp plate to disconnect the steering gear lines before discarding used O-rings. You can loosen and separate the power steering gear-to-fluid cooler return hose by releasing its clamp. The power steering system requires filling by following the reverse order of the removal process.
