  A: A repair or service of accelerator pedal cable requires removal of engine air cleaner intake tube and duct before removing the bolt. The next step requires removing the splash shield retaining pin together with the accelerator control splash shield. After disconnecting the accelerator cable from the Throttle Body prepare tabs for releasing the cable from its accelerator cable bracket. The accelerator cable requires removal from its retainer positioned on the battery tray after taking off the tie wrap which stabilizes the cable to the Brake Master Cylinder.
