How to properly service the Coolant Temperature Sensor in a Lincoln Continental?

The service process for the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch requires the first step to be disconnecting the battery ground cable. Next, partially drain the coolant. Take the wiring connector away from the Engine Control Sensor while extracting the ECT SENSOR. The reverse removal steps should be used during sensor installation. When maintaining the engine coolant temperature sensor for reuse you should apply Pipe Sealant with Teflon® D8AZ-19554-A that complies with Ford specification WSK-M2G350-A2 to thread areas.
