  Q: How to service and repair the front fender on either the LH or RH side on Lincoln LS?

  A: The front fender service and repair on LH or RH side vehicles begins by stripping out the front Bumper cover and then moving onto wheel and tire removal before dismounting the front and rear inner splash shields. The speed control module should be set aside for the LH side while you loosen both bolts starting with the top bolt first and finishing with the bottom bolt. The first step involves unfastening the fender stuffer and then dismantling the inner front fender bolts. You need to remove the two front two-part pin-type retainers before placing the front rocker moulding aside. First remove radiator upper sight shield by uninstalling its retainers before completing the operation by unbolting the headlamp assembly and disconnecting the electrical connection. After the removal of front fender bolts securing the radiator grille opening panel, set the LH splash shield to the side when servicing on that particular side. First disconnect the wiring harness locator and mount the hood using a prop rod while also disengaging the lower hood assist strut beneath. To remove the front fender start by taking off the bolts attaching it to the front fender along with the ball stud of the hood assist strut. The installation of a new fender should be completed by executing the exact reversal of the removal steps.
