How is the throttle body serviced and how to its remova and install on Lincoln LS?

Throttle body having non-cleanable coated bore and plate is serviced as a unit. In order to take it out, remove the engine cover and then the air cleaner outlet tube and do it in the given order. It is installed through inverting the steps of removal.

How should safety be ensured when servicing the throttle body on Lincoln LS?

When fitting throttle body do not smoke or use open flames close to fuel parts because of the danger of fire. Disconnect throttle position sensor, accelerator cable and speed control actuator cable. Also remove air cleaner outlet tube. Unbolt throttle body (the gasket can be used again) and repeat the process to install.
