  Service and repair of fluid pan requires vehicle elevation combined with transmission fluid placement within a drain pan before removing the drain plug and bracket. You must drain fluid by removing the drain plug followed by the bracket removal. The transmission fluid pan gasket has the potential for reuse after cleaning and checking for any form of damage. Follow by taking out the fluid pan and gasket before getting rid of the transmission fluid filter and thoroughly examining the fluid pan along with its magnet. The converter housing plug combined with the drain plug need removal. The installer must use a new converter drain plug to avoid leakage before they install both the drain plug and the converter housing access plug. Apply automatic transmission fluid to O-ring seals in the fluid filter after inspecting the filter properly before placing the O-rings correctly on the filter and installing the transmission fluid filter. Put the oil pan magnet into the transmission fluid pan before installing the transmission fluid pan with its gasket followed by a loose screw installation. To complete installation put the drain plug in first followed by shifter cable bracket installation then cross-tighten the screws on the pan. Remove fluid level indicator plug only by holding drain plug steadied with wrench and using a 3/16 inch Allen key. Perform a fluid level examination as the last step.
