First disconnect the battery then loosen the nut holding the starter solenoid positive cable terminal before relocating it and finally tighten the nut to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). Tighten the nut for the starter solenoid wire terminal to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) before final installation. To install the starter motor ground cable terminal you should tighten it to 22 Nm (16 lb-ft). Remove the right-hand engine mount battery cable harness locator while disconnecting the nut to set aside the lower bracket after tightening it to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). The bolt must be removed to place the battery ground cable frame terminal and this connection should receive 30 Nm tightening force after reinstallation. The radiator fan shroud's battery cable harness locator should be detached while removing the nut connecting the generator harness terminal and the CJB cable terminal to the positive battery terminal and then retightening the nut to 9 Nm (80 lb-in). Before reinstallation you must pose the body terminal of the battery ground cable by removing its bolt then tighten it for 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). The technician disconnects and removes the battery cable assembly after separating the battery cable harness in-line electrical connector.
