In order to service the upper rear door latch, the rear door water shield and trim panel are removed. Unscrew the two handle rivets and unscrew the latch cable. Unscrew the three bolts holding the latch, screw the new latch on with bolts tightened to 12 Nm and lubricate it after screwing.

In order to access the front door latch, take out the trim panel and watershield. Using the latch bolts (tighten to 12 Nm) detach the actuating rod and exterior handle rod and remove the latch bolts. Before removing the latch disconnect the interior handle cable and electrical connectors. Installation Reverse the process and lubricate.
