The service requires the replacement of both intake manifold and thermostat housing gaskets before cleaning and inspecting all sealing surfaces. New intake manifold and thermostat housing gaskets serve to position the lower intake manifold while ten bolts secure it in place with a specified sequence of tightening to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Mount the three thermostat housing-to-lower intake manifold bolts and tighten them to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). The installation ends with reinstallation of the fuel rail while performing cooling system bleed and filling procedures.
