How to Service and Repair the Trunk Latch on Lincoln MKS?

Start the repair process of the luggage compartment lid latch by unplugging its electrical connector first. Remove the three nuts which connect the latch first. The latch installation requires tightening it to 9 Nm torque value (80 lb-in torque equivalent). The two bolts which hold the luggage compartment lid latch striker should also be removed except when necessary. Installation requires tightening these bolts to 12 Nm (106 lb-in). The service installation finishes by performing steps in reverse order to removal.
