How to service the vacuum brake booster on Lincoln MKX?

To service the vacuum brake booster, hold the brake pedal in place, loosen the stop lamp switch and disconnect the brake booster check valve. Disconnect the brake master cylinder and make sure that the vacuum hose-assembly is properly laid down. Lift the lower instrument panel cover, unscrew the push rod and take off the brake booster. Uninstall and reverse the process.
