How to service the hood latch on Lincoln MKX?

In order to service the hood latch, identify the position of the latter, unscrew the two bolts and keep it aside. Installation Re-install using bolts of 11 Nm (97 lb-in), remove the release cable and ensure the latch is correctly aligned and then reverse the steps of removal.
